Each year the Southpointe CEO Association holds their annual World Class CEO Awards to honor individuals for their achievements within the Southpointe and surrounding business communities. The association also awards an annual scholarship and this year has added a new Emerging Leader Award.
The 2017 Wolrd Class CEO Award Honorees
The Washington County Board of Commissioners has been instrumental in the development of Southpointe and Southpointe II. The Commissioners communicated a vision to create a common sense of purpose among the multiple stakeholders in the Southpointe community, and they continue to focus on the long-term goals of the park.
Laurence O. Magi - Larry Maggi is currently serving his third term on the Board of Commissioners and serves as Board Chairmen
Diana Irey Vaughan - Now serving her sixth term, Diana Vaughan is the youngest person, only woman, and longest serving Washington County Commissioner.
Harlan G. Shober, Jr. - A unique combination of business and entrepreneurial experience and extensive elected community experience serves Harlan Shober well in his second term of office as a County Commissioner.
The 2017 Emerging Leader Award Nominees
New for this year's awards celebration night is the launch of a special honor, in collaboration with Leadership Washington County, of the Emerging Leader Award. Understanding that participants in LWC programs are destined to become tomorrow's CEO's, the Southpointe CEO Association will recognize one of the individuals noted below, who have been selected by their peers, to receive the 2017 Emerging Leader Award.

Runner-up: Carole Deangelo - Marketing Director at Observer Publishing Company
